Your hair is part of the dramatic expression of You, so I would be concerned about really short. Really short might make it too short to be correctly moody when you are in the mood for your hair to be different. A bit above chin level might be a way to go, because you can do the little butterfly clips for cute, or jam it behind your ears for practical, or down and curled next to your mouth for sexy.
Of course, I think you are gorgeous in any case. But you might want to consider what haircut would go with your sexy outfits as well as with your business suits. You want your students to take you seriously, but the rest of us should still fall pantingly at your feet.
It's hair - it grows back. Do whatever you feel like doing with it and if you don't like it, wait a few months. :)
On a different note, when I flew back from SF, one of the stewardesses looked JUST like you. Except that she had braces and was slightly less... endowed.
People play with your head, not your hair. A very different sensation. I like people touching my head more than tugging on my hair. (they don't tug hard, but running fingers through hair, or braiding, is a pulling sensation, as opposed to holding/cradling my head).
Ultimately, I found short hair to be more upkeep, I could do less with it, and I feel I look better in long hair. But I went super short for 3 years.
The short looks good on you, too. Were you ever shorter than that? I had chin length hair for a while, but now I'm thinking way short, like an inch or two all over.
Will somebody get her goddamn hair out of her face???????? Oh, I see she may take care of that herself. Carry on then. Carry on.
What length is it now, anyhow? I've not seen you since your nuptials. But I'm so vain I'd never buzz myself unless my bald spot suddenly connected to my forehead.

It grows back.
Take pictures.
