I wish I was better at this, but I'm not. Either way, here is the
We have done a ton of stuff since I last posted anything of import. We flew to AZ to visit
seerofkell and
burny_md . Sharon cooked some amazing food. I love dinners with courses followed by breakfasts with courses :) Spectacular. They served some very tasty wines, as well. I just don't drink enough wine anymore.
While we were there, we attended the Arizona Ren Fest! We had a great time! There was much more shade than one might expect for a faire in Arizona. One of the reasons I wanted to go to the faire was the presence of one of the most beautiful faeries ever, Twig! You can see some pictures of her here
I brought a copy of Faerie Magazine that she is on the cover of for her to sign, which she was very happy to do. I have a video and photos of the event, but they are not on this computer, so I cannot show you right now. Later! I was ever so excited to meet Twig! She is quite famous in faerie circles, you know. She gave me a glass faerie pebble that has now taken up permanent residence in my purse. :)
That was Sunday, on Monday we made a trip to the arboretum. Lots of cool stuff. Flowering cacti, cacti with bark, barrels, arms, sticky things, squishy things and a very small house built into the side of a mountain that once served as residence for a family of four or five. I have no idea how they did that without killing each other...or at least kicking each other in the head while sleeping.
I have pictures of that, too...but not here.
Then we flew home.
Then sometime later we had a wonderful dinner with
reedrover and
achaosofkittens at Ryan's Daughter, a nice little Irish pub by our house. I stole leftover broccoli from
achaosofkittens. He didn't seem to mind.
Then sometime later, Bart and I opened a show, Double-X: The Bad-Ass Lands at Mobtown Theater in Hampden. I am in it and Bart is Stage Manager and Lighting Guy. He is the best. The show would have imploded without him. True statement.
Two weeks after that, which was just this past weekend,
reedrover,
achaosofkittens and
gsh drove up to see said play. That was not a good day for me physically as my intestines and stomach decided to rebel. Bart sent one of the Mobtown guys out to get me some Immodium about 40 minutes before the show started. He came back with crackers and ginger ale, as well. My heroes! I can say, however, that I think it was my best performance to date. I don't know what that says about me other than I was too busy being self-conscious about my butt to be self-conscious about my acting. This night was topped off by another nice dinner with the three mentioned above. I was supposed to go out dancing later, but that did not happen.
I'm sure there is more, but not right now.
