(no subject)

I have wanted more faerie art in the house for a while and this weekend allowed me the opportunity to purchase a piece I have always loved, Linda Ravenscroft's The Marked One.  It now hangs above our sofa.

The world of faerie moves me deeply.  The first time I saw this paining, I cried.

FaerieCon 2009 Highlight:

While working at the check-in counter, I asked a little girl if she had a faerie stone.  I told her to close her eyes and hold out her hands.  I reached in my pouch and pulled out a blue stone along with a healthy dose of faerie dust.  I gently blew some of the dust up and around her as I placed the stone in her hand.  As she opened her eyes, she looked around and upon seeing the sparkling air around her she said, "She really is magical!"
